The “Super Carrera” ushered a more simplified 911 range into the 1980s. A 3.0L engine and rear flares were standard for all, and it’s been said that the 911 would have ended here if not for continued enthusiasm from the Porsche brass. The 911SC remains an air-cooled favorite, as seen with the many restorations, builds, and spirited drivers on the road.
